sooo, what's this supposed to be? ;)
Dunedune_drd on 15th January 2008 17:33 (UTC)
Our own secret organization, and I mean really secret.
uliamos: this_isnt_twuliamos on 15th January 2008 18:05 (UTC)
Yeah, right, veeery secret *coughs*
But seriously, what is the purpose of this community?
Dune: Ten hoopy frooddune_drd on 15th January 2008 18:14 (UTC)
A bunch of geeks doing a better job than Torchwood 3? Me being bored? Transdimensional destabilization?

I'll tell you when I find out.
uliamos: jb_kragenuliamos on 15th January 2008 18:24 (UTC)
Hmm, maybe I'll join later when you've found out, but until then... sorry ;-)
Dunedune_drd on 15th January 2008 18:27 (UTC)
You said yourself we might need a lawyer soon? ;)
Smitty: mini jackaeshna_uk on 15th January 2008 17:38 (UTC)
I have my own greatcoat....
Smitty: metal pantsaeshna_uk on 15th January 2008 17:45 (UTC)
also two science degrees, a job in a Victorian scientific institute, a boss called Yvonne, and I used to run the basement lab that nobody knew existed....

Oh, and a stuffed pterodactyl. :)
Dunedune_drd on 15th January 2008 17:55 (UTC)
Ping. Hired for the greatcoat and the pterodactyl... can I pet it? ^^
Smitty: animated TWaeshna_uk on 15th January 2008 18:03 (UTC)
Sure - she doesn't bite. Often. ;)
steviesunsteviesun on 15th January 2008 18:26 (UTC)
two science degrees? Fantastic.
doylefan22doylefan22 on 15th January 2008 18:45 (UTC)
Well I have a degree in Cognitive Science so I can do psychology and computer science - I'm multi-skilled me.

I also have lots of random knowledge about random time periods - handy for unfortunate temporal tears or the occasional pub quiz.

Previous experience includes teaching teenage boys so handling aliens should be a doddle.

Likes include big swirly coats, standing on buildings looking pensive and locking Jack in small spaces for some private time.

I also think Martha is awesome and will be able to fangirl her at any moment.

I have a Classics degree, a library degree and an over-active imagination. Random languages and obscure information are specialties, and I suspect my ability to burble at length on no subject whatsoever may be useful as a stalling tactic.

Oh, and I make decent coffee.
cyber_istari: bat*** crazycyber_istari on 15th January 2008 22:05 (UTC)
You sound like me, barring the Classics degree, and my library degree is in-work. ::grins:: Barring that...

You lot will be needing a hacker, I would imagine. ;)
Glinda: oh wellglinda_penguin on 15th January 2008 21:14 (UTC)
Mainly because I want to know what's down that corridor...
You'll be needing a technician...you think those funky lil headset things repair themselves? Someone's got to keep the surveillance equipment in working order. ;)

I'm also a dab hand at cover stories...A odd imprisonment in the world of local newspapers has taught me to make mundane things sound fascinating and disguise odd and curious happenings in a cloak of disinterest...

Also I need an excuse to purchase a long flowing coat to stand on top of buildings in...

I'm good at answering the phone and filing and making tea and coffee. But with less emo than other male receptionists/administrators you may know.
Dunedune_drd on 16th January 2008 12:23 (UTC)
Finally someone able to deal with the phone! That thing has been driving me nuts!

Bore da, Canolfan Croeso, how may I direct your call?

(Oh yeah, I can do bilingual - but only greetings and only when the Welsh ring up and we're pretending to be a Tourist Information office)

I could need some help with the plants, I'm more of an animal person; plants biting me are really not my cup of tea ^^

Training linguist/informatition. I come pre-packaged with vintage German military coat, knowledge of renaissance armed combat, and a flair for interior design.. Also, I know were all the good take-out places are within a ten-mile radius, so there is no need to dial in pizza and have it delivered under the organizations name, or have one of the entrance's of the building known to every delivery-person in the area.

Picture of said coat is mandatory so I can ogle it and want one, too ^^

I've got a three types of aerodynamics degree. But more importantly I'm a fantastic cook, so you could cut down the pizza and hence choloesterol levels straight away.
I also run a workshop, so just call me Miss Fix It.

I am *checks date* twelve days away from an MSc in Chemistry. Need someone to blow stuff up?

Also, I can get by in three languages, and mangle at least another two...
